The Great Empty
A unique series of black and white panoramic photographs of empty Moscow that was shot during a pandemic and self-isolation lockdown in 2020.
The photographer managed to see the capital, that Muscovites have never seen - without people and cars. A city without citizens, where main characters are buildings, monuments, and statues.
Each of them is a witness, a monument to their time. Baroque, Empire style, constructivism coexisting with postmodernism and modern skyscrapers - all this is combined the city.
The photo project Moscow. Great Empty shows the architecture of the Russian capital in its purest form.
The exhibition was presented in the Museum of Moscow in 2020 and in Sharjah, UAE in 2022.
